Governor Buni urges Corps members He says, Be patriotic and law-abiding

Governor Buni urges Corps members He says, Be patriotic and law-abiding. Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, on Tuesday, told the National Youth Service Scheme (NYSC) members to think about keeping Nigeria united as their most important goal. He said this when he was at the swearing-in event for NYSC Batch ‘C’ Stream 1 at the Permanent Orientation Camp in Nangere, Yobe.

The Governor, represented by his Deputy Idi Barde Gubana, praised the NYSC for its work in getting young people involved and promoting unity among Nigerians.

He congratulated the Corps members for finishing their studies and qualifying for national service. He encouraged them to take part in all camp activities, be good citizens, and take the orientation program seriously. He assured them that their well-being and security are a top priority.

Governor Buni also promised to improve the camp’s facilities and infrastructure. He even donated two bulls for the Corps members and one cow for the tug of war winners.

The State Coordinator of Yobe State NYSC, Mrs. Hafsat Yerima, said that 1,115 Corps members had been registered, and they had behaved well during the registration process.

She commended the present administration under the leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni for the continued support of the NYSC Scheme in Yobe State.
