I have a life-threatening infection – Teni

I have a life-threatening infection . Musician Teniola Apata, who is also known as Teni, said she had a serious throat infection in July. She shared this on Instagram, talking about her tough time dealing with the infection and losing her voice for a while.

In a popular video on social media, Teni explained that her doctor suggested surgery to prevent her from permanently losing her voice.

She said, “I got a dangerous throat infection while working on my second album ‘Tears of the Sun’ in July 2023. I had times when I couldn’t speak, and my doctors said I needed surgery to avoid losing my voice forever. In September 2023, I had to go to the hospital because I was very tired and had several injections over five days. In October 2023, my singing voice improved a bit after getting medical help, even though I didn’t have the surgery. And by November 2023, I’m back on stage. My new song ‘Malaika’ is a way of thanking and praising God for his kindness and help.”
