Suffering: Sanwo-Olu reduces Lagos transportation costs, allowing locals to purchase food at a discount

On Thursday, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu declared a 25% fare refund for the state’s government-run transportation programs.

According to him, educators will continue to work five days a week, and the state government will provide them with extra transportation assistance

.

The governor also announced that level 1–14 civil servants will start working three days a week as part of efforts to lessen the financial burden on locals.

In addition, he said, the state government will set up Sunday marketplaces in at least 42 designated marketplaces, giving locals the opportunity to purchase food items at a reduced cost.

“You’ll only be able to purchase goods up to N25,000,” he continued.
