President Bola Tinubu has pledged to bring corruption and smuggling to an end.
The President added that his government’s economic measures cannot be reversed.
Kashim Shettima, the vice president, had recently disclosed that the government has discovered 32 channels via which food is smuggled out of Nigeria.

“I agree that smugglers and corruption will fight back,” Tinubu stated. We’ll battle them till the end. Corruption will disappear, and [we] will set aside funds for you to use for our children’s education, our people’s healthcare system, and a contemporary transportation network that serves the needs of the greatest number of people—not just a select few smugglers.
We told you we could do it, and you had faith in us. You believed in us when we told that people’s lives will ultimately get better. I can’t complain because I asked for this job and I can hear a lot of voices right now.
