Gunmen have kidnapped Dr. Adekunle Raif Adeniji, a senior director of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Secretariat in Abuja.
Two weeks ago, Dr. Adekunle, the Director of Administration for the ruling party’s National Secretariat, was abducted in Abuja, Federal Capital Territor
According to information his kidnappers had gotten in touch with his family to demand a ransom of N350 million in order to free him.
The director is being held captive, according to sources with knowledge of the situation, although neither the APC National Secretariat nor security personnel have made any official statements about it.
In August 2024, Dr. Adekunle was named Director of Administration at the APC National Secretariat.
The National Secretary of the party released a letter announcing the appointment.
Following the resignation of Prof. Alaba Adediwura, the previous Director of Administration, Dr. Adeniji was appointed.
